"Nick and Elly sit at a Jandek concert, pondering his genius"

True story: my friend Jimmy was introduced to Jandek at a bar a couple of years ago, not too terribly long after he revealed himself to be a flesh and blood human and began playing live (mostly at festivals in Scotland for some reason). According to Jimmy, Jandek was soft-spoken and very polite, and at one point mentioned that he "didn't get out much."

Sometimes it is very cool to live in Houston.

Dear Joe Mathlete:

You are a genius, and I mean that. Will you draw a picture of me having sex with a Storm Trooper at the Renaissance Fair? By "me," I mean a female, mid-thirties, unemployed and did I mention quite lonely.

Jandek is real? I'm glad to hear that he's not eaten up over his own, very unusual but intense, following of fans/acolytes.

I don't entirely get the end product, but I have a feeling that there is something Taoist going on with his process.

I have your Marmaduke blog on my blogroll. Since it seems to be inactive would you like this or another blog you're writing listed?
